Train Weighing
We offer a fast, accurate, portable train weighing service, measuring vehicle weights or individual wheel or axle loads. The system is essentially a set of portable railway scales that can be used on all rolling stock and locomotives, and can be used on all types of track, including flat-bottom and bullhead rail.
• The weighing scales take minutes to set up
• Trains can be weighed, moving at slow speed
• The system can weigh long trains in one movement
• Axle/ wheel weight values can be read off immediately
The weighing system can be used for measuring the load that wagons are carrying, to detect and avoid train or axle overloading. It can also be used for spring adjustment, to adjust axle load, and avoid axle/ bearing overloading. We will mobilise at short notice to all sites in the UK and overseas.
