• Paint adhesion testing
• Screed adhesion testing
Why have pull off testing?
The purpose of pull off testing is to ensure a layer has correctly bonded to a surface and adheres to specific design calculations and requirements. Pull off testing is typically performed on floors, walls and ceilings to guarantee safety on site.
How pull off testing is performed?
We test the bond strength of adhesives and coatings to their substrate, in accordance with BS8204 ‘Screeds, bases and insitu flooring’ and ASTM D4541 – 09e1 ‘Standard Test Method for Pull-Off Strength of Coatings Using Portable Adhesion Tester.’
A test dolly is bonded to the bonded material and an axial tensile load applied, the load at which the material de-bonds is recorded and the bond strength can be calculated.
