Screw Pull Out Tests
The compressive strength of concrete and masonry can be estimated by pulling out screws, in axial tension, in accordance with BRE Digest 421 ‘Measuring the compressive strength of masonry materials: the screw pull-out test’. This test can avoid the cost and damage caused by conventional removal of cores and compressive strength testing of the cores.
